At the age of 70, well into his retirement, he decided to become a paramedic and at one point was the oldest registered and active paramedic in the United States.
He received his BSEE in Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1951 and his Master's Degree from UCLA in 1960. He was a Sgt. in the US Marine Corps during the Korean conflict and was president of the FAI International Parachuting Commission for an unprecedented 6 terms. Mr. MacCrone died on November 7th, 2016 at the age of 85. He is survived by his 3 children, 6 grandchildren and many many friends.
Sounds like an amazing, and well-lived life. Rest easy Sir.
