We're our own worst critics when it comes to serious calls. Did I miss something? Did I follow the proper procedure? Should I have done something different? Would they have lived if I had done so? I think we all do the best we can in those situations but we're terrified if we missed something. Often the questions haunt us for years.
I called this piece Absolution - the release of consequences.
