I was caught in my own housefire. NOW I know what that smoke can do. We were very fortunate. I was home alone, I was able to get out, our magnificent volunteer rural fire dept. was here within minutes. The loss would have been MUCH worse. They found my dog locked in one of the guest rooms (I have no idea how that happened) and they save all of our art and most of our furnishings. Only half the house had to be re-built. It's been 3 years, but I still get choked up remembering that crew. Awesome. Nope, there isn't a word grand enough to describe them, or big enough to describe my gratitude, though I did try.
